Ireland: Brexit – impact on milk price

Irish dairy farms will in 2021 have a margin per hectare of 1000 euro which is 23 percent less than in 2020. The loss will be caused by Brexit and corona, predicts Teagasc, the Irish national agency which is providing research, advisory and education in agriculture. Teagasc states that when because of Brexit Ireland can export less dairy products to Great Britain milk price in Ireland will drop seven percent.
