In Holland in 2021 the average somatic cell count in tank milk was 186000 cells per millilitre milk. In 2020 this was 182000. Of all samples 0.52 percent had a higher count than 400000. The average mean bacterial count was 13500 cfu/ml (2020: 13400 cfu/ml).
