Dutch judges have upheld claims by environmentalists that permits for cattle grazing may be necessary. In protest against this, on Monday May 30th, many Dutch dairy farmers did not send their cows out to pasture but kept them inside. Normally, 84 percent of the dairy farms in the Netherlands is pasturing their dairy cows.
