In several European countries farmers price as well as consumer price of organic milk and organic dairy products is equal or even lower than the price of regular milk and products, while in ‘normal’ situations price of organic milk and products is much higher than the price of regular milk and products. That prices now are about equal is caused by the high price of regular milk which is mainly made on short(er) term deals while sales contracts of organic milk and products are more often made for longer term.
