France: Lactalis has bought Brazilian joint venture Dairy Partners Americas (DPA)

The France headquartered private dairy Lactalis has bought from Nestlé and Fonterra their Brazilian joint venture Dairy Partners Americas (DPA). Fonterra and Nestlé created DPA in 2003 to manufacture and commercialise dairy products throughout Latin America. In 2014, the joint venture refocused its activities on Brazil and chilled dairy. Fonterra has a 51 percent stake and Nestlé a 49 percent stake in the joint venture. DPA operates two plants and employs 1300 people.
