In Germany in the southern state Bavaria, the dairy cooperative BMI will close one of its three cheese plants. This because of the increased costs of milk and energy. BMI has 1200 milk farmers as member suppliers, mainly from Bavaria, and the eastern states Thuringia, and Saxony-Anhalt.
