Germany: Hochland bannes imported feed

The southern German private dairy Hochland specialized in cheese, with in 2019 a production of 378000 tons cheese, a turnover of 1.59 billion (10*9) euro and more than 5000 employees, does no longer allow that milk delivering farms use feed that is imported from oversee. Earlier Hochland banned the use of non-selective herbicides such as glyphosate used on delivering farms their fields or grassland, which the farms mainly utilize to plant feed for their own requirements.
