Ireland: Irish Farmers’ Association (IFA) asked for more staff

The Irish Farmers’ Association (IFA) has asked the government to take action to take measures that result in more staff available for Irish farms. The IFA estimates that next spring there is a short of at least 200 to 300 full-time workers on dairy farms. Because they are not available within the EU, IFA asks the government to give 500 work permits to workers from outside the EU.
