In Sweden the dairy cooperative Norrmejerier has asked its members that produce organic milk to change production to regular milk. This because of a surplus of organic milk. The dairy has around 330 members and around 50 are producing organic milk. In Sweden consumption of organic milk has strong decreased in recent years. Because of that Norrmejerier has demand for only half of the volume organic milk compared to years ago because a lot of consumers have changed consumption from organic milk to milk of regional origin.
