The Irish dairy cooperative Carbery Group has finished a new cheese production plant for mozarella and grilling cheese. The new plant required an investment of 78 million euro. The aim of Carbery is to export the cheese to European countries and to existing and new markets in Asia. Carbery produces 55000 tons of cheese per year which is 25 percent of the Irish national cheese production. The aim is to increase the production with 640000 tons per year.
