In Holland according to provisional analyses in 2019 the national dairy herd produced 280.6 million kilogram nitrogen with manure, which is 9.3 million kilogram (3.2%) less than in 2018. Of the reduction 75 percent is caused by the reduction of the number of dairy cattle. Phosphate production was 75.1 million kilogram (4.6%) less than in 2018. Of this reduction 50 percent was caused by the reduction of the number of dairy cattle.
